Starting Counseling in Bel Air, MD- What You Need To Know
Are you currently accepting new counseling clients?
Yes! I am currently accepting new counseling clients. Click here to schedule your FREE 15-minute consultation to get started.
How long do counseling sessions usually last?
Counseling sessions are 50 minutes long.
Do you take insurance for counseling sessions?
I am not in-network with any insurance.
When billing through insurance companies, the majority of treatment goals are centered around a specific diagnosis. I want to be able to offer a full range of confidential, customized services to my clients with the focus and frequency that’s set without the input of insurance companies.
To further discuss self-pay options, please schedule a consultation or call the office directly at 240-778-3390.
What are your fees for counseling?
My rate is $215 per session. I can provide you with a superbill that you can provide to your insurance company for reimbursement. I accept credit cards and HSA payments through our secure online system, Simple Practice.
In accordance with the No Surprises Act and the Good Faith Estimate requirement, fees will be clearly discussed and provided in writing prior to the first appointment.

Symptoms you would like to address
Physical Health Issues
Suicidal and Homicidal Thoughts
Relationships with family of origin
Peer relationships
Work stressors
Possible traumatic experiences
This session will provide Chenelle with a better idea of how to proceed during the therapeutic process.
Treatment Planning
The next session will focus on exploring the treatment plan goal. After the client identifies the topics they would like to address in therapy, Chenelle will explore the issues in detail and then create a treatment plan based off the data collected.
Moving Forward
The following sessions will be focused on exploring the issues further, discussing possible solutions or coping skills, and getting to know the client further. Chenelle will consistently assess the client’s progress to determine the client’s ongoing needs. When Chenelle and client feel like the client is ready to discharge from services, Chenelle will discuss relapse prevention skills for future stresses. The therapeutic process does not have to end there. Clients can always reach out to therapist in the future if they feel like they could benefit from refresher sessions.
